Salome Janelidze will lead EU4Energy Project Office implemented by Energy Community in Georgia

The director of the Legal Department of Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), Ms. Salome Janelidze will lead EU4Energy Project Office Energy Community in Georgia. In her role as Senior Expert, Ms. Janelidze will assist Georgia with harmonization and transposition of the EU legislation in the energy sector reform process.

Salome Janelidze has been employed at GNERC since 2015. Since 2021 she is a member of the Advisory Board to the Energy Training Center of GNERC. In 2016-2017 she was secondee expert at the Energy Community (Vienna, Austria) where her tasks envisaged harmonization of Georgian legislation with the 3rd Energy Package and preparation of draft projects.

Ms. Janelidze holds LLM in Economic and Business Law of Groningen University and International Human Rights Law of Essex University, Great Britain. Currently, she is a Phd candidate of the Energy Faculty of Georgian Technical University. Salome Janelidze is a member of Georgian Bar Association since 2013 and is also providing mentorship for women employed in the energy sector.
