With the support of UNICEF, within the framework of the ongoing project at the energy training center at GNERC meetings were held in Kutaisi and Ozurgeti

Representatives of the educational resource center, directors of public schools and representatives of the energy training center attended the meeting.
Eleonora Lagvilava, a member of the board of the Energy Training Center, informed the meeting participants about the ongoing project at the center, about the importance of renewable energy development, solving climate change and air pollution problems. She focused on the needs to raise the level of awareness of students and youth in this direction.
The project expert, Temur Tordinava, introduced to the participants of the meeting the events planned within the project.
The goal of the ongoing project is to promote the awareness and involvement of students and schoolchildren of different regions of Georgia about renewable energy, solving the problems of climate change and air pollution. Informing them about the positive role of renewable energy in the climate.
The project will be implement in the municipalities of Samegrelo-Zemo-Svaneti, Guria and Imereti regions, for about 500 schoolchildren of 35 schools. Within the framework of the project, trainings and public lectures are held for students. The duration of the project is 8 months.
