With the support of the International Visegrad Fund, a meeting was held in the city of Zugdidi within the framework of the ongoing project "Sharing the experience of the Visegrad countries on the regulation of public utilities" at the Energy Training Center of GNERC.
Meeting was attended by representatives of the self-government of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region (Zugdidi, Senaki, Mestia,Poti, Calenjikha) and representatives of utility companies of Zugdidi municipality.
Eleonora Lagvilava, a board member of the Energy Training Center, along with Temur Tordinava, an esteemed expert from the center, enlightened meeting participants on the project's significance and the forthcoming events.
According to Eleonora Lagvilava, the main goal of the project is to share the experience of the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia in matters of regulation of electricity, natural gas and water supply utilities for Georgia, which will contribute to the further improvement of the current processes in the country.
Temur Tordinava introduced the research planned within the project to the participants of the meeting. According to him, with the research component, it will be possible to identify existing needs, challenges and trends and plan ways to solve them.
Project partners are: Research Center of Slovak Foreign Policy Association (RC SFPA) (Slovakia), Environmental Center of Karl University (Czech Republic), Foundation "Partners for Climate" (P4C) (Poland).
