Energy Training Center and UNICEF has launched a new project to educate youth about drinking water quality and resources.
The project will be implemented in Batumi, Kutaisi, Aspindza, Dedoplistskaro, Tetritskaro, Kazbegi, Khashuri and Gardabani municipalities. Within the framework of the project, students-young people will be given trainings on the importance of drinking water quality and its characteristics, effective use of water resources and energy security issues. In addition, there will be public lectures on the empowerment of women in the energy sector and energy expert as a profession of the future.
The project started on the 1st August this year and will continue until the end of November.
About the Training Center: The goal of the Elizbar Eristavi Energy Training Center existing under the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission is to raise public awareness of current issues in the electricity, natural gas and water supply sectors, to implement special training courses/programs for professional development and qualification improvement, to determine the priority directions of activities, to exchange experience and knowledge between interested parties, to conduct research, to prepare scientific and educational projects.
