LEPL "Elizbar Eristavi Energy Training Center" was established on February 4, 2022. The founder of the Center is the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), which was given additional authority in the educational direction in accordance with the amendments made to the Law of Georgia "On Energy and Water Supply" on December 22, 2021.

GNERC's  goal is to ensure that the Elizbar Eristavi Energy Training Center promotes education in the electricity, natural gas and water supply sectors, raises awareness, promotes  issues, determines the priority directions of adequate activities  to respond the existing challenges, exchanges experience and knowledge among interested parties, prepares scientific and educational projects, creates an electronic library, organizes thematic conferences and scientific forums.
