Davit Narmania, the chairman of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), gave a lecture to the participants of the course on regulation of the electric energy sector at the Elizbar Eristavi Energy Training Center. The chairman's lecture topic was about energy business. Within the framework of the lecture, Davit Narmania spoke about the energy sector as one of the leading directions for the economy, reviewed the subjects of energy business, focused on the ongoing reform process in the energy sector, the role of the state in energy, the importance of competition development, the need to protect the interests of consumers, energy business management and corporate social responsibility. Within the framework of the electricity sector course, the participants will get acquainted with the main legislative framework of the sector, the technical possibilities of the development of the sector, the issues of tariff regulation, market monitoring and the functioning of the energy exchange. After completing the course, a certificate will be issued. The appropriately qualified employees of GNERC and heads of other agencies provide training to the course participants.
