With the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), a public lecture was held in the first public school of Kutaisi, which was attended by about 200 students from different schools, within the framework of the ongoing project - "Raising  awareness of the students and youth of the regions about the quality of drinking water and water resources" at the Energy Training Center operating under GNERC.  The public lecture was held by the representatives of GNERC and Energy Training Center. Within the framework of the public lecture, specialists in the field of energy spoke about the energy engineers as a profession of the future and the strengthening of the role of women in the energy sector, and answered the questions asked by the participants.

The goal of the project "Raising the awareness of the students and youth of the regions about the quality of drinking water and water resources" is to raise the level of awareness of the students and youth of the regions in the issues of drinking water quality and water as an energy source, to raise the interest of the students and youth in the target municipalities in the topics of energy efficiency and energy saving, to care for water resources and strengthening the idea of protection, to promote the establishment of sustainable mechanisms to increase the involvement of young people. As a result of the initiative, more than 300 young people will receive information about the quality and resources of drinking water.
