Mr. Nugzar Beridze is a Doctor of technical sciences, professor, author of approximately 70 scientific papers, patents and copyright certificates. In different periods, Nugzar Beridze has been engaged in scientific-pedagogical activities at the Agricultural University of Georgia, Grigol Robakidze and Kutaisi "Akaki Tsereteli" Universities. In 1996-2006, he was the director of the Scientific Research Institute at the Agricultural University. Nugzar Beridze headed GNERC's electricity department for years.

In different periods, Mr. Beridze was a local adviser of EU Twinning projects, a member of the Licensing Committee of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA). Since 2007, he has been a participant in workshops, seminars and conferences on actual issues of energy regulation organized by NARUC (National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners), CEER (Council of European Energy Regulators), Energy Community (Energy Community); EU4E - European Union for Georgia and other international and local organizations.

Mr. Nugzar Beridze provided consultations to various countries (Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan) in matters of electricity regulation. From 2014 to the present, Nugzar Beridze is one of the presenters of the program "Professionals" at radio station Commersant
